Speakers
Rev. Dr. Prof. David Gushee is the Distinguished University Professor of Christian Ethics at Mercer University, where he has taught since 2007. He also serves as Chair of Christian Social Ethics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Senior Research Fellow at the International Baptist Theological Study Centre, where he supervises Ph.D. students from around the world. In 2026, he began an affiliation with the University of Oxford as Visiting Fellow at Regent’s Park College, Academic Visitor in the Faculty of Theology and Religion, and Visiting Fellow at the McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics, and Public Life.
Rebecca Bell (M.Div.) is the lead pastor of Threads Church, a post-evangelical, justice-oriented congregation in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her work centers on equipping the Church to become a non-anxious, healed-and-healing presence in the world. Rebecca and her husband Joel live on a couple of rural acres with a chaotic blend of dogs, cats, and whichever of their six teen and young adult kids happen to be "in the nest" at the moment. Whenever she can find a quiet moment she loves to write, read, or walk in the woods.
Keri Ladouceur is a pastor, teacher, incessantly curious question-asker, and bridge-building peacemaker. She believes the fullness of the gospel is liberative good news for all of creation and longs to cultivate new faith spaces of mutuality and flourishing for all people.
She is the co-founder of the Post-Evangelical Collective and founder of New Ground Network, where she co-conspires with pastors, denominations, and organizational leaders to clarify and align around their purpose. One of her favorite roles is organizational coach where she is part dreamer, instigator, activator and team counselor. She has an MA in New Testament from Northern Seminary, and her imagination for the Beloved Community has been primarily shaped by her native heritage and liberation thinkers and theologians.
