About Meetinghouse Church

In a world that is increasingly divided and despairing, we believe that a community centered on Christ has the ability to create healing and hope. Meetinghouse Church exists to create spaces where unlikely people cross boundaries to meet God and meet each other. We believe that when that happens, we’re transformed to be more like Jesus- we’re more humble and curious in our relationships, and participate in seeking justice and flourishing for the whole world.

Staff Values

As staff, we commit to upholding a culture that is

  • Centered in Christ

  • Created in Collaboration

  • Working Towards Wholeness

  • Expanding in Relationship and Empowering Others

We cannot practice healthy relationships with one another, or impact healthy relationships and systems in the world unless we are experiencing a healthy relationship with ourselves and with God. Therefore, Meetinghouse Staff are expected to:

  • Share a commitment to living out our core values in their personal lives.

  • Have regular rhythms for mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional health care.

  • Commit to ongoing learning, lifelong curiosity, and growing in humility.

  • Practice radical candor within trusted relationships, both sharing and receiving encouragement with respect, and critical feedback without shame or manipulation.

  • Practice keeping short accounts when relationships are fractured, refraining from triangulation or faction-building.

As we practice these things as a staff team, we expect it to also show up in the spaces we are creating in our ministries and the relationships we are cultivating with the members and attenders of Meetinghouse Church
