Worship Leader - Element3 Church (Tallahassee, FL)
Job Description:
Full-Time role sharing responsibility and creative design of gatherings, along with special gatherings like Ash Wednesday, Tenebrae, and Christmas Eve.
Compensation: Negotiable, with benefits available for full time role
Ministry jobs are very seasonal, and presence will be needed on Christmas Eve and Easter. During the summer, responsibilities typically lessen. A somewhat typical schedule:
Sunday: 7:00am-12:30pm approximately (varies based on services and structure)
Midweek Practice: 1.5 hours (usually on Thursday evenings)
Work time (flexible): 2-5 hours approximately
Staff Meetings: 0-2 hours
With the right candidate and spiritual gift set and calling, this role may be a full-time role. Those hours would then include the Sunday time, along with Tuesday-Friday office hours and evening/ weekend work times as well.
Start Date: This position is an ASAP hire.
Element3 is a leader in musical talent, abilities, and skills in Tallahassee. We need a catalytic leader who can lead rehearsals, motivate volunteers to bring their best worship, and have a heart for giving worship to God. This may or may not be the traditional lead-instrument-singer. We are open to someone who mixes sound, plays percussion, or has other gifts as well. While this person cannot be everything to everyone, they love to see other people thrive in volunteer roles and work well with others. This person should work well with others and have positive leadership qualities as they will be directing volunteers.
E3 is guided by a concept called “Centered Set Church” where every person is invited into our community to be transformed by Jesus. In that, we have a perfect setup for a contemporary director (Hillsong, Rend Collective etc.) with a knowledge of some of the great hymns and creeds of the Church. E3 also has tremendous existing volunteers in every facet of worship. This is not lip service, we have community leaders on every musical and tech side of creating a space to worship God.
It is in this vein that we desire a worship leader who is comfortable with an Ancient-Future mindset in designing experiences to make disciples of Jesus.
There will be some (perhaps monthly or quarterly) admin side to cables, equipment, and understanding the basics of the soundboard and projection.
