Connections Coordinator (Part-Time) - Kindred Church | Durham, NC

Kindred Church is a growing, contemporary United Methodist congregation in Durham, NC, committed to sharing the inclusive love of Jesus and helping people take their next steps of faith. We are seeking a Connections Coordinator to lead one of the most critical systems in our church: how people experience welcome, find belonging, and move from first visit to meaningful engagement. This role is both highly relational and highly operational—ideal for someone who loves people and loves building systems that scale. The Connections Coordinator oversees Sunday hospitality, leads our growing volunteer ministry, manages newcomer follow-up and orientation, and ensures that Kindred’s culture of warmth, clarity, and excellence is felt at every touchpoint.

This is a builder role, not a maintenance role. As Kindred continues to grow, the Connections Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening volunteer leadership structures, improving onboarding pathways, and helping the church scale sustainably without losing its relational heart. The ideal candidate has experience serving on a church staff (or in a similarly complex, volunteer-driven organization), thrives in a fast-growing environment, and is eager to take ownership of systems that matter. This is a 20 hours/week position.
